In this tutorial , we will see how to add an image to the background of any folder.It looks like this:

1) Create New Folder; right click on Desktop, then New folder… or just open a folder in which you wish to add the background image

2) Copy this code in notepad

[ExtShellFolderViews]
{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}
[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
IconArea_Image=C:\path\folder\background.jpg

It looks like this:

3)Save the notepad file in folder for which you wish to add background image, as
shown below

4)After this select folder, right click on that folder, click properties
and select Customize tab, then click on
change icon, here choose any icon.After this the background image will appear...

Here’s a video instructional if you find it easier to follow the steps this way:

    I’ve been trying to do it on a music folder. I want the background to appear on the music files but it doesn’t seem to work. Any ideas why? Is there any limitations? with this i mean: i want to create a folder, within this folder create another one and have two different backgrounds. Is this possible? If not i just want the background where my music files are.thanks for any respond

    It’s easy to do, if you know how to follow the instructions. Copy this code in notepad,

    [ExtShellFolderViews]
    {BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}
    [{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
    IconArea_Image=C:\path\folder\background.jpg

    change its filename to desktop.ini, the save it to the folder you want to customize.
