			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Illustrator is the hero for graphics artist. From beginner level work to higher level work, illustrator illustration has been so much important and helpful. This time, I am helping you to create your own website with your own creative design ideas.<span id="more-5420"></span></p>
<p>Creating website in illustrator does not need complex HTML or PHP scripting. It is just the design presented in HTML format.</p>
<p>I am going to use Adobe illustrator CS3 to create a simple website. The final format of the website will be like below:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/j.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5431" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/j.jpg" alt="" width="497" height="719" /></a></p>
<p>First of all let me tell you that I am only going to use rectangle tool and text tool to create the basic page layout.</p>
<p>Open Adobe Illustrator and create a new document with 960 px  by  1500 px .</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/a.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5421" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/a.jpg" alt="" width="493" height="240" /></a></p>
<p>Now inside the art board (Black border), draw your layout.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/b.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5422" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/b.jpg" alt="" width="494" height="746" /></a></p>
<p>The image above demonstrates the layout of the website. The header at the top, the navigator bar with three navigation links and one content container and another right sidebar, and footer optional.</p>
<p>To draw the layout use rectangle tool and position it according to your layout requirement.</p>
<p>When all of the layout is properly made then select all the rectangles, right click in it and choose “Make Guides”</p>
<p>The guides will be created in Layer 1, see at layer palette(F7).</p>
<p>Double click on it and rename it as Layout and click OK.</p>
<p>Now lock the Layout layer and create a new layer above it.</p>
<p>This will be the layer to draw the design outlet of your blog. While drawing your design be inside the layout markings.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/bb.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5424" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/bb.jpg" alt="" width="402" height="154" /></a></p>
<p>After you are done with the basic background and links designing, we’re heading towards making contents in it.</p>
<p>Upto now you must have made Logo for your site, links for your site and the background image/color for the contents of your site.</p>
<p>Double click and rename this layer again.</p>
<p>Again add new layer. Rename it to Home. In this layer you are going to add all the contents that your home page will contain.</p>
<p>Add contents like welcome notes, images and other things.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/j.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5431" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/j.jpg" alt="" width="497" height="719" /></a></p>
<p>Lock the Home layer and again create another two layers and contents for About and Contact Page.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/i.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5430" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/i.jpg" alt="" width="268" height="102" /></a></p>
<p>Up to now you might have created your whole webpage with Home, About and Contact Page each of them in separate layer.</p>
<p>Sidenote: Play with visibility of layers for easiness in your designing work.</p>
<p>Now make all layers visible by clicking on visibility(eye) icon. But hide two Layers, i.e. About and Contact Layer.</p>
<p>Now time to slice up the images. Go to Object&gt;Slice&gt;Create from Guides.</p>
<p>Now you may have problem if you’ve designed your page outside the layout. If you haven’t then it’s OK, else you’ll have to redesign it for proper slicing.</p>
<p>After you get success in slicking you may head up to link building and export it in html format.</p>
<p>Go to File&gt; Save for Web &amp; Devices.</p>
<p>New window will popup with your whole website view.</p>
<p>You have to create three links for Home, About and Contact.</p>
<p>Double click in the Home link.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/g.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5428" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/g.jpg" alt="" width="269" height="100" /></a></p>
<p>In URL type home.html (the homepage URL)</p>
<p>Do the same for About and contact page with URL address about.html and contact.html respectively.</p>
<p>We’re predicting that we’ll have three html files, home.html, about.html and contact.html in same folder.</p>
<p>Since you’ve the Home page contents visible, click Save button at the top right and save it as home.html.</p>
<p>You’ve home.html page ready.</p>
<p>Now in second step, hide Home and Contact layers and follow the same method for navigation links as above.</p>
<p>But save it as about.html</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/h.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5429" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/h.jpg" alt="" width="338" height="192" /></a></p>
<p>Again hide Home and About layers. Do the same for navigation links. Save it as contact.html<br />
Make sure that you have all three html files in one folder with images folder in it. Also whenever a popup comes up to replace images(for example slicer.gif) click on Replace button.</p>
<p>Now open home.html in your web browser. Click on the links to check if it’s OK.</p>
<p>If everything is ok then you can upload it to your web host and next enjoy the your own cool homepage.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today in my blockbuster tutorial, I am going to show you a full step by step tutorial to create a realistic looking cell phone using Photoshop CS4.<span id="more-5111"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/am.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5114" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/am.jpg" alt="" width="273" height="525" /></a></p>
<p>Before beginning let me avoid you to get distracted from this tutorial by telling what we’ll be using.</p>
<p>Well, we will be using only the layer blend and some shape tools that’s all.</p>
<p>Let’s being with the tutorial</p>
<p>Open Photoshop and create 4” by 6” document with resolution about 150 pixels/inch.</p>
<p>Create new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N) and name it “Body” and choose a shape tool and draw a curved rectangle with following settings in the option box:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/a1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5113" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/a1.jpg" alt="" width="525" height="46" /></a></p>
<p>You’ll be creating shape similar to this:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/b.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5115" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/b.jpg" alt="" width="164" height="289" /></a></p>
<p>Now highlight the layer and choose Blending Options layer style.(see the image below)</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/c.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5116" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/c.jpg" alt="" width="382" height="156" /></a></p>
<p>Now in the Lyaer style window apply the following changes:</p>
<p>For inner glow:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5118" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/d.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>For Bevel and Emboss</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/e.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5117" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/e.jpg" alt="" width="510" height="369" /></a></p>
<p>Gradient Overlay:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5119" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/f.jpg" alt="" width="590" /></p>
<p>In the gradient color click on the gradient(highlighted in red).</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5118" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/d.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Change first colour to #0d0d0d  and last color to #333333.</p>
<p>Your final output will be:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5120" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/h.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Now duplicate the layer Body and put the duplicated layer below Body layer.(refer to following image for effect and process)</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5121" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/i.jpg" alt="" width="519" height="234" /></p>
<p>Now hide both the layers by clicking on Eye icon at right side of each layer.</p>
<p>Create another new layer for screen and draw rectangle without any curves:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5122" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/j.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>For the new layer apply following Layer style as we did last time for the Body:</p>
<p>For inner shadow:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5123" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/k.jpg" alt="" width="546" height="402" /></p>
<p>For Gradient overlay:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5124" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/l.jpg" alt="" width="542" height="392" /></p>
<p>Choose first color as #2a2a2a and last color as #383838 in gradient color.</p>
<p>You’ll get the following result for the screen:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5125" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/m.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Show all the layers and you’ll have the final body with screen ready.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5126" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/n.jpg" alt="" width="341" height="550" /></p>
<p>Now we are going to create buttons for it.</p>
<p>First let’s create a button base.</p>
<p>Choose curve rectangle tool with radius 25 px at the bottom part of the cell.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5127" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/o.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Apply layer style to it with following settings:</p>
<p>For inner glow:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5128" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/p.jpg" alt="" width="520" height="379" /></p>
<p>Change the glow color to #C7C7C7</p>
<p>For Bevel and Emboss:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5129" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/q.jpg" alt="" width="519" height="379" /></p>
<p>For Gradient Overlay</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5130" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/r.jpg" alt="" width="545" height="400" /></p>
<p>Set first color to #191919 and last color to #1D1D1D</p>
<p>The final image will be like below:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5131" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/s.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Create another similar but small shape to fit in the button base and apply following layer style:</p>
<p>For Bevel and Emboss:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5132" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/t.jpg" alt="" width="529" height="388" /></p>
<p>For gradient overlay:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5132" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/u.jpg" alt="" width="528" height="394" /></p>
<p>You might probably have drawn a large oval button part above the button base. What we need to do now is to separate it. Using selection tool delete the middle part of it.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5133" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/v.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>And finally get the following result:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5134" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/w.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Now the buttons are ready. We’ll then add green, white and red color glow for the buttons.</p>
<p>Create another rectangle in the button and add layer style with following settings:</p>
<p>For Gradient Overlay:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5135" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/y.jpg" alt="" width="539" height="396" /></p>
<p>Get the following result then:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5136" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/x.jpg" alt="" width="491" height="213" /></p>
<p>Do same with rest of buttons with color variations and delete the slight middle right part of the red button since it is a call reject button.</p>
<p>Now we have the button setup ready:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5137" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/z.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Now lets head towards the header region of the cell phone.</p>
<p>First create a speaker hole.</p>
<p>Draw curved rectangle with following layer style:</p>
<p>For Bevel and Emboss:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5138" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/zb.jpg" alt="" width="530" height="391" /></p>
<p>You’ll see the following result then:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5139" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/za.jpg" alt="" width="480" height="207" /></p>
<p>Create another curved rectangle over the previous one and change the Bevel and Emboss to following:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5140" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/zc.jpg" alt="" width="506" height="503" /></p>
<p>Now let’s add brand name to it.</p>
<p>Use type tool (T) to type the text.</p>
<p>For NOKIA logo, I used Arial Black and slightly modified “O” to make it looks like Nokia’s. and for XpressMusic I used Myriad font.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5141" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/zd.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Now create a XpressMusic logo. I used custom shape tool (Right arrow) and a variously sized round button to create it.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5142" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/ze.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Now let’s create a camera.</p>
<p>Use circular marquee selection tool and subtract the circle with another circle over it as shown in figure:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5143" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/zf.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5144" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/zh.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Apply some bevel and emboss layer style and gradient layer style to it. Also repeat the above process for the inner circle but with different color settings to get final result somewhat similar to this:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5145" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/zi.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Now your cell phone is almost ready. Only thing left to do is to add reflection to it.</p>
<p>To do so, select the region for the plastic reflection.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5146" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/zk.jpg" alt="" width="324" height="627" /></p>
<p>Fill it with linear gradient color with white and black composition. Level the opacity in the layer tool box.</p>
<p>And finally you have your Nokia XpressMusic 5800 ready.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5147" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/am.jpg" alt="" width="278" height="535" /></p>
<p>Hope this tutorial was helpful.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today I am teaching you how to create a realistic texture of road and apply it to your image.</p>
<p>There are various techniques to create the texture of road. In this tutorial, I am going to create a texture of rough road with cracked pitch.<br />
<span id="more-5005"></span><br />
Follow by step by step tutorial below.</p>
<p>First of all create a Photoshop document of default format and size but change the Background Contents to Transparent.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/a15.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5006" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/a15.jpg" alt="" width="544" height="381" /></a></p>
<p>Now in your tools bar choose the foreground color as dark gray (#2d2d2d) instead of completely black.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/b16.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5007" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/b16.jpg" alt="" width="550" height="361" /></a></p>
<p>Select the Layer 1 and press ALT + Backspace to fill the dark gray color to the whole document.</p>
<p>Then apply noise to the background by going to Filter&gt;Noise&gt;Add Noise. Check on Monochromatic and apply uniform distribution by checking on Uniform radio button, put the amount value about 2 %.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/c11.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5008" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/c11.jpg" alt="" width="324" height="417" /></a></p>
<p>Now since we’ve applied the rough texture of road, we’ll now create the cracked spots, to do so, create a new transparent layer (Ctrl + Shift + N).</p>
<p>Apply the cloud render filter (Filter&gt;Render&gt;Cloud) keep pressing CTRL + F (re-filter) to get the satisfactory cloud (one with large dark areas than white/gray).</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/d10.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5009" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/d10.jpg" alt="" width="467" height="267" /></a></p>
<p>Again after applying cloud render, go to Filter&gt;Render&gt;Difference Cloud to apply difference cloud render.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/e6.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5010" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/e6.jpg" alt="" width="484" height="253" /></a></p>
<p>Now configure the level value of the cloud layer (Layer 2) by pressing CTRL + L. Put the values or move the sliders as shown in the figure.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/f5.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5011" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/f5.jpg" alt="" width="402" height="332" /></a></p>
<p>Now hide the Layer 2 by clicking on eye icon on the layer panel.</p>
<p>Create a new layer , Layer 3.</p>
<p>And apply the road dividers using marquee tool and fill it with white colour.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/g4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5012" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/g4.jpg" alt="" width="273" height="137" /></a></p>
<p>In layer panel, click on “fx” icon as shown in figure and choose on Blending Options, or directly right click on Layer 3 and choose blending options.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/h2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5013" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/h2.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="256" /></a></p>
<p>In the blending options window, move the black slider (highlighted in the image below). To separate the joined black slider hold down ALT and draw the slider left or right to get the satisfactory result of the divider scratch.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/i2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5014" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/i2.jpg" alt="" width="568" height="381" /></a></p>
<p>Make Layer 2 visible by clicking on the visibility icon as shown in image. (Since you’ve hide it before there won’t be icon, when you click it the eye icon will again load)</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/j2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5015" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/j2.jpg" alt="" width="250" height="150" /></a></p>
<p>Blend the layer to Overlay and decrease the opacitiy to 20% for Layer 2.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/l2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5017" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/l2.jpg" alt="" width="278" height="215" /></a></p>
<p>Choose an eraser tool (E) and get some rough brush by right clicking on the art board and slightly delete the edges. You can decrease the opacity and flow from options bar.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/m2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5018" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/m2.jpg" alt="" width="510" height="257" /></a></p>
<p>Apply some brushes to make it look more white than in the divider zone as the road gets smooth on the region where vehicle moves.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/n1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5019" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/n1.jpg" alt="" width="508" height="323" /></a></p>
<p>Now you’ve the road ready. You can apply it to any picture you want.</p>
<p>To apply it to the image just transform, skew and distort it according to the demand of your main picture.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/o1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5020" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/o1.jpg" alt="" width="343" height="348" /></a></p>
<p>Merge all the layers and bring the main picture just below the road.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/p1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5021" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/p1.jpg" alt="" width="384" height="167" /></a></p>
<p>Here you’ve the road ready.</p>
<p>Hope you find this tutorial helpful.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In this tutorial, I am going to teach you how to create new web 2.0 style graphics for your website or any design.<br />
<span id="more-4820"></span><br />
The following image shows our final result:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/t.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4828" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/t.jpg" alt="" width="252" height="231" /></a></p>
<p>To get the result like above follow this detailed step by step tutorial.</p>
<p>Create new Photoshop document with default size, resolution and white background.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/a6.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4821" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/a6.jpg" alt="" width="538" height="304" /></a></p>
<p>Choose Custom Shape tool from the tool bar.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/b5.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4822" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/b5.jpg" alt="" width="285" height="156" /></a></p>
<p>In this tutorial we’ll be using arrows. From the tools settings bar (below menu bar) choose the arrow from Shape box.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/c5.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4823" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/c5.jpg" alt="" width="531" height="205" /></a></p>
<p>After choosing the arrow shape, choose to draw path only by toggling the path button (as shown in the image below)</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/d5.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4824" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/d5.jpg" alt="" width="423" height="41" /></a></p>
<p>Before drawing create a new layer over the Background Layer (CTRL+ SHIFT+ N)</p>
<p>Now finally draw a proper arrow shape. After drawing Press CTRL+ENTER key to highlight the shape you created and fill green color to it.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/e4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4825" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/e4.jpg" alt="" width="289" height="169" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/g3.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4826" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/g3.jpg" alt="" width="277" height="141" /></a></p>
<p>Press CTRL+T to show up free transform tool and right click and choose Perspective and Skew.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/h1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4827" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/h1.jpg" alt="" width="374" height="224" /></a></p>
<p>Apply transformation by dragging the corner vertices and finally get the result similar to the image below.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/i1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4829" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/i1.jpg" alt="" width="274" height="177" /></a></p>
<p>After you are satisfied with the shape of arrow, duplicate the current layer using shortcut CTRL + J</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/j1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4830" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/j1.jpg" alt="" width="207" height="127" /></a></p>
<p>Highlight the original layer (in our case it’s Layer 1) and apply the marquee selection tool by holding CTRL and clicking on Layer 1. Then fill it with black color.(Don’t get surprised if you don’t see black color in the arrow). However make sure that the arrow is filled black in Layer 1 in Layer Panel.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/k1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4831" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/k1.jpg" alt="" width="453" height="164" /></a></p>
<p>Again hold down CTRL and click in Layer 1 to highlight the black arrow. Then hold down ALT and press down arrow for about 15 times to make a 3D shape of it.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/l1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4832" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/l1.jpg" alt="" width="447" height="179" /></a></p>
<p>Now your 3D arrow is ready.</p>
<p>Let’s apply some glossy effect to make it livelier.</p>
<p>Select the Layer 1 Copy layer (which is green colored) and apply blend to it by clicking on the add layer style button as shown in the figure. Or simply go to Layer&gt;Layer style&gt;Blending options.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/m1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4833" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/m1.jpg" alt="" width="176" height="158" /></a></p>
<p>Check on Inner shadow and apply the settings as shown in the figure:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/n.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4834" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/n.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="301" /></a><br />
Also check in Drop Shadow and apply the settings as shown in the figure:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/o.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4835" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/o.jpg" alt="" width="599" height="287" /></a></p>
<p>Finally apply Bevel and Emboss and apply the settings as shown in the figure:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/p.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4836" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/p.jpg" alt="" width="532" height="289" /></a></p>
<p>If you went right up to the above path you’ll get the result similar to the image below:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/q.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4837" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/q.jpg" alt="" width="242" height="162" /></a></p>
<p>Now create a text using text tool(I named it GO!).</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/r.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4838" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/r.jpg" alt="" width="124" height="81" /></a></p>
<p>Rasterize the text layer by right clicking and choosing Rasterize Type.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/s.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4839" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/s.jpg" alt="" width="302" height="168" /></a></p>
<p>Again follow the steps you applied for the arrow by transforming and tweaking it and adding Blending options layer styles. (You can follow the tutorial for arrow and apply it to the text). Finally you’ll get the following result.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/t.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4828" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/t.jpg" alt="" width="252" height="231" /></a></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In this tutorial I will teach you how to create the pleasing graphics like the image below using adobe illustrator.<span id="more-4456"></span><br />
<a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/o2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4470" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/o2.jpg" alt="" width="531" height="404" /></a></p>
<p>Open up the Adobe illustrator. Create a new document with RGB color settings and in Landscape mode.</p>
<p>Take a pen tool (P) and draw a curve making it look like curls of plant branch.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a7.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4457" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a7.jpg" alt="" width="531" height="423" /></a></p>
<p>Create some another curves to beautify it according to your need.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/b6.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4458" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/b6.jpg" alt="" width="569" height="421" /></a></p>
<p>Now let’s create a brush to apply it on the curve that we’ve just created.</p>
<p>Take a rectangle box tool and draw a horizontal rectangle.<br />
<a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/c4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4459" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/c4.jpg" alt="" width="217" height="66" /></a><br />
Like in the image below select it’s top right vertex and drag it downwards so that it will look tapering at the end. Also drag the top left vertex near to the lower one to make it little thinner. Your final result will be like this:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/e4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4461" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/e4.jpg" alt="" width="204" height="46" /></a></p>
<p>Now this is the format of brush that we’ve just created. Only the thing that left is to define it as a brush.<br />
Select the shape you just created with selection tool and click on new brush icon in the brush palette.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/q2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4471" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/q2.jpg" alt="" width="215" height="176" /></a></p>
<p>In the New brush window, choose art brush and click OK.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4462" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f4.jpg" alt="" width="349" height="136" /></a><br />
In the Art Brush Options window, choose Tints in Colorization Tab and define the flow of brush direction as in figure then click OK.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/g3.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4463" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/g3.jpg" alt="" width="448" height="458" /></a></p>
<p>Now the brush might have been loaded in the brush palette. Select all the curves that you created before and click on the brush that you’ve just created. If everything went ok you’ll get the following result:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/i2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4465" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/i2.jpg" alt="" width="430" height="393" /></a></p>
<p>Now to beautify it we need to add some colors.</p>
<p>Load the Beach color palette from windows&gt;Swatch Libraries&gt; Beach</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/j2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4466" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/j2.jpg" alt="" width="447" height="139" /></a><br />
To apply color fill the stroke with the colors in the swatch palette.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/l2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4467" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/l2.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="151" /></a></p>
<p>Apply different colors to make it pleasing to eyes. I choose blue, you can choose your own desired color.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/m2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4468" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/m2.jpg" alt="" width="411" height="405" /></a></p>
<p>Duplicate all the curves and place it in different place as in figure below:</p>
<p>Either apply same brush or create your new brush to the copied curves.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/n2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4469" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/n2.jpg" alt="" width="559" height="431" /></a><br />
Put some text or add some other graphics to give some meaning to it.</p>
<p>Your curly design is ready. You can apply different background colors and keep it as your desktop wall paper.<br />
Hope you liked this tutorial.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you want to have a page turn animation of thick pages then it is a lot easier. But if you are thinking about the thin pages turning animation then you’ll need different method to do that.<span id="more-4428"></span></p>
<p>We’ll be introducing with bones that works exactly as a human bone.</p>
<p>Let’s begin with the tutorial.</p>
<p>Create a polygon plane or NURBS plane.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/c3.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/c3.jpg" alt="" width="234" height="177" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4410" /></a></p>
<p>Resize it to give it a shape of a single page sheet. Now move the left end of the page to the centre of the grid. To do this, hold down D and V together and click and drag red pivot (x-axis) towards the end line of the left side of page.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a6.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a6.jpg" alt="" width="259" height="281" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4408" /></a></p>
<p>Now release the D and V and again hold X and drag it towards the centre of the grid.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/b5.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/b5.jpg" alt="" width="186" height="263" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4409" /></a></p>
<p>After you are done placing, your work will look like the image above. Now increase the subdivisions along both axes.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/d3.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/d3.jpg" alt="" width="230" height="171" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4411" /></a></p>
<p>Now go to the attributes and create a new empty layer. If you got confused to create a new layer. Click on the attributes editor.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f3.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f3.jpg" alt="" width="340" height="176" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4413" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/e3.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/e3.jpg" alt="" width="579" height="316" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4412" /></a></p>
<p>After the new layer has been added, in default it will be named as layer1.</p>
<p>Now select the page sheet model and left click on layer1. After layer1 is highlighted, hold down right click and select Add selected objects.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/g2.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/g2.jpg" alt="" width="314" height="274" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4414" /></a><br />
Now to make the object non-movable but transparent, give a single click on the blank box at the right side of ‘V’ in the layer (V is for the visibility of the layer). It will show ‘T’ (T is for the transparency).</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f3.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f3.jpg" alt="" width="340" height="176" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4413" /></a></p>
<p>Now the page sheet is ready. Next, we are going to add bones to the page sheet.</p>
<p>Press F2 or select Animation from the Status Line bar.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/i1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/i1.jpg" alt="" width="146" height="189" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4416" /></a></p>
<p>On the menu bar go to Skeleton &gt; Joint Tool.<br />
<a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/j1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/j1.jpg" alt="" width="291" height="237" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4417" /></a></p>
<p>Your cursor will change in to ‘Plus’ sign if you drag it to the perspective screen.</p>
<p>Now create and arrange joints similar to the image below.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/k1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/k1.jpg" alt="" width="395" height="336" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4418" /></a></p>
<p>Please note that the joint begins from the left part of the page. Hold down X to place the first and second bone. Also remember that, the first and second bone must be arranged in a same axis (in this case it is X- axis were Y will be 0 for both first and second bones).</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/l1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/l1.jpg" alt="" width="206" height="120" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4419" /></a></p>
<p>In the time line slider change the frame visibility limit to 100, as shown in the figure.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/m1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/m1.jpg" alt="" width="524" height="95" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4420" /></a></p>
<p>Remove the transparency of the layer1 by clicking T twice (not double clicking, it will show blank if the transparency and locking is removed).</p>
<p>First select the page sheet and then Shift select joint1. Then bind the skin from the skin menu.(Refer to the image below)</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/n1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/n1.jpg" alt="" width="581" height="383" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4421" /></a></p>
<p>Now rigging part of the page is done.</p>
<p>Lets animate it.</p>
<p>Select the first joint (joint1) and select the first frame and press on ‘S’ button to set the key frame where all the scale, translate and rotate value is 0.</p>
<p>Again with joint1 selected, go to 100 frame and change the rotate Z value to 180 and press S again.</p>
<p>Now our job will only be to set the keys.</p>
<p>Therefore refer to the following table.</p>
<table border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top"><strong>Joint name</strong></td>
<td width="118" valign="top"><strong>Frame number</strong></td>
<td width="118" valign="top"><strong>Rotation Z</strong></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint1</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">1</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">0</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint1</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">100</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">180</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint2</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">45</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">17</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint3</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">40</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">17</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint4</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">35</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">17</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint5</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">30</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">30</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint6</p>
<p>Joint6</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">25</p>
<p>65</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">30</p>
<p>7</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint7</p>
<p>Joint7</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">20</p>
<p>80</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">25</p>
<p>-4</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint8</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">15</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">20</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="118" valign="top">Joint9</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">10</td>
<td width="118" valign="top">15</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<p>Press “S” button every time after setting the Rotate Z value.</p>
<p>When you animate it, you won’t be satisfied because of the page left edges moving along with the bone (the left part of the page is fixed on the book binding). Therefore we’ll be needing a simple weight paint job.<br />
<a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/o1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/o1.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="285" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4422" /></a><br />
Select the page sheet model.</p>
<p>Go to Skin&gt;Edit smooth bind&gt;Paint Skin weights tool&gt; option box. (refer to the following image).</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/p1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/p1.jpg" alt="" width="510" height="285" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4423" /></a><br />
It will load the paint attributes on the right side bar.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/q1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/q1.jpg" alt="" width="350" height="410" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4424" /></a></p>
<p>Select joint1 as in above image, the page sheet will look similar to below.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/r1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/r1.jpg" alt="" width="292" height="381" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4425" /></a></p>
<p>Hold down B and left click and drag left or right to resize the brush.</p>
<p>Now paint the brush which will give similar look to the image below.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/s1.jpg"><img src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/s1.jpg" alt="" width="308" height="378" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4426" /></a></p>
<p>Select the desired function to add, remove, replace or smooth the paint.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/t1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4427" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/t1.jpg" alt="" width="397" height="277" /></a></p>
<p>After you are done painting, select smooth brush (refer to image above) and brush over it 3-4 times.</p>
<p>Now animate it. You’ll see the page turning smoothly without any error. To make it more natural apply paint tool to all the joints.</p>
<p>Hope this tutorial was much helpful for basic rigging and animation of a page sheet. You can further copy the page sheet to have multiple pages.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In this tutorial, I am going to teach you how to create a static/non-dynamic cloud using Fluid effects in Autodesk Maya.<span id="more-4350"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a3.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4351" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a3.jpg" alt="" width="220" height="160" /></a></p>
<p>First we need to create a container. To create a 3D fluid container,<br />
Select fluid effects &gt; create 3D container</p>
<p>Set the container options as follows, and then click Apply and Close:</p>
<p>X Resolution: 50</p>
<p>Y Resolution: 5</p>
<p>Z Resolution: 60</p>
<p>X Size: 50.0</p>
<p>Y Size: 5.0</p>
<p>Z Size: 60.0</p>
<p>Now since the container is ready, we need to add fluid to the container.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><em>For a cloud bank, Density is the only property you need to define—the other properties are typically used in dynamic solving.</em></p>
<ol>
<li>Dolly and tumble the scene view to see the entire container.</li>
<li>With the fluid container selected, show the Attribute Editor(CTRL+A), and click on the fluidShape1 tab.</li>
<li>In the Contents Method section of the Attribute Editor, set:</li>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>
<ol>
<li>Density: Gradient</li>
<li>Density Gradient: Constant</li>
</ol>
</li>
</ol>
<p>Set Velocity, Temperature, and Fuel properties to Off. (They&#8217;re not used in this effect.)</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/b2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4352" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/b2.jpg" alt="" width="281" height="147" /></a><br />
The fluid is ready, now we need to apply proper shader to the fluid to give it the actual looks of a cloud.</p>
<ol>
<li>Open the Shading section in the Attribute Editor.</li>
<li>In the Color subsection, change Color Input to Density.</li>
</ol>
<p>The Density values in the container will now take on the colors defined on the color bar. Leave the color white to make the clouds appear white.</p>
<ol>
<li>In the Opacity subsection, check that the Opacity Input is set to Density.</li>
</ol>
<p>The opacity represents how much the Density will block light.<br />
Texturing the density of cloud makes the fluid cloud more realistic.<br />
<em>So far the container is filled with solid white Density. To create the cloud effect, you texture the Density so that some areas are transparent and some areas are opaque.</em></p>
<p>Turn on hardware texturing display so you can see the effect of the textures on the fluid without rendering by selecting <strong><em>Shading &gt; Hardware Texturing from the scene view menu. </em></strong></p>
<p>Open the Textures section in the Attribute Editor.</p>
<p>Turn on Texture Opacity to apply the current texture to Opacity values. The current texture is Perlin Noise, defined by Texture Type.</p>
<p><em>Notice that the Density now has a slightly blotchy look to it, with areas that are more opaque and areas that are more transparent. This texture provides the standard 3D noise used in the 3D Solid Fractal texture included with Maya. </em></p>
<p>Change Texture Type to Billow for a fluffy, cloud-like effect.</p>
<p>The Billow texture is computationally intensive and therefore slower than the other texture types.</p>
<p>Change the look of the texture by setting the following texture attributes:</p>
<p>Amplitude: 0.5</p>
<p>Depth Max: 4</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/c2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4353" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/c2.jpg" alt="" width="281" height="147" /></a></p>
<p><em>Decreasing the Amplitude makes the areas with low Density more transparent and the areas with high Density more opaque.</em></p>
<p><em>Increasing Depth Max adds detail. Increasing it will also increase render time.</em></p>
<p><em> </em></p>
<p>Stretch the texture in the X direction by changing the X, Y, and Z components of the Texture Scale to 2, 1, 1.</p>
<p>Change the following Billow texture attributes to make the &#8220;billows&#8221; less dense, more spotty, and with randomly different sizes.</p>
<p>Billow Density: 0.6</p>
<p>Spottyness: 2.0</p>
<p>Size Rand: 0.40</p>
<p><em>Modify the Opacity so that areas in the container that are very dense appear less opaque, areas that have very little Density become totally transparent. </em></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/d2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4354" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/d2.jpg" alt="" width="282" height="147" /></a><em> </em></p>
<p><em>In the Attribute Editor, go to the Shading section.</em></p>
<p><em>Look at the Opacity graph in the Opacity subsection. This graph represents the relationship between Opacity values and Density values (the Opacity Input). </em></p>
<p><em>Opacity values range from 0 on the bottom (totally transparent, no opacity) to 1 on the top (totally opaque).</em></p>
<p><em>Density values range from 0 on the left side (no Density) to 1 on the right side (high Density).</em></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/e2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4355" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/e2.jpg" alt="" width="282" height="147" /></a></p>
<p>-Click the first dot on the Opacity graph to select the position marker. Position markers mark the location on the graph from left to right (the Opacity Input value). The outline of the dot is white when a position is selected.</p>
<p>-Change Selected Position to 0.10 to change the position of the marker.</p>
<p>The position marker moves to the right. Now, for Density values between 0 and 0.10, the Opacity values will be 0. This means that Density that was previously partially transparent will be completely transparent.</p>
<p>The more transparent areas of cloud disappeared, but now the solid areas of cloud are less opaque.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4356" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f2.jpg" alt="" width="282" height="147" /></a></p>
<p>-Click on the graph to create a new position marker.</p>
<p>-Change the marker position and value as follows:</p>
<p>Selected Position: 0.15</p>
<p>Selected Value: 0.30</p>
<p>Density values that are greater than 0.15 are now more opaque, and the transition between areas of total transparency (Opacity 0), and areas where the Density becomes more visible (Density 0.15) is less gradual.<br />
Adding self shadow to the cloud.<br />
<a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/g1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4357" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/g1.jpg" alt="" width="282" height="147" /></a><br />
<em>Give the clouds some depth by adding self shadowing. Self shadowing causes the fluid to cast shadows on itself using a single internal directional light at -1, -1, -1.</em></p>
<ol>
<li>In the Attribute Editor, under the fluidShape1 tab, open the Lighting section.</li>
<li>Turn on Self Shadow.</li>
</ol>
<p>The clouds now have some darker areas on them, giving them some depth.</p>
<ol>
<li>In the Display section, change Boundary Draw to None to hide the container. This gives you a better idea of how the fluid will look before you render it.</li>
</ol>
<p>NOW RENDER TO SEE THE EFFECT YOU CREATED….</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a3.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4351" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a3.jpg" alt="" width="220" height="160" /></a><br />Hope this tutorial helped you a bit to create a concept in static clouds using Fluid effects in Autodesk Maya.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Everybody knows that illustrator is a vector graphics designing program. In vector graphics, you’ll never loose a picture quality. I am going to show you how to create a beautiful landscape using Illustrator. This step by step tutorial will guide you through clear and detailed images.<span id="more-4298"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/season.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-4334" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/season-1024x795.jpg" alt="" width="454" height="309" /></a></p>
<p>But before we begin, let me assume the following facts:</p>
<p>You have Illustrator installed on your computer.</p>
<p>You have basic skills in pen tools and illustrator.</p>
<p>Ok now lets begin,</p>
<p>Open up Illustrator by going to, Start &gt; Run &gt; Illustrator</p>
<p>Create a new file in illustrator, File &gt; New.</p>
<p>Apply everything default but except Portrait choose Landscape and RGB instead of CMYK. And then click OK.</p>
<p>Now the illustration starts.</p>
<p>Take a big rectangle equal to the size of art board.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4299" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/a.jpg" alt="" width="530" height="408" /></a></p>
<p>Apply gradient tool to the rectangle box with similar gradient shown in image below:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/b1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4300" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/b1.jpg" alt="" width="212" height="117" /></a></p>
<p>Now we need a sun, create new Circle (to create the exact circle hold down ALT and draw the mouse button while drawing).</p>
<p>Apply the following type of gradient to the circle:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/c1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4301" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/c1.jpg" alt="" width="212" height="119" /></a></p>
<p>And you’ll get some what similar result:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/d1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4302" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/d1.jpg" alt="" width="241" height="164" /></a></p>
<p>Place it wherever you find suitable, I put it below the art board, with partial part out from the box.</p>
<p>Now create the ocean, use pen tool to draw the ocean. Draw ocean similar to the image below:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/e1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4303" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/e1.jpg" alt="" width="422" height="30" /></a></p>
<p>Now we will need the radial brightness caused by the sun. To create it, draw a circle similar to image below, apply Gaussian Blur Effect (Effect &gt; Blur &gt; Gaussian Blur) to the circle (keep blur value not less than 5).</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4304" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/f1.jpg" alt="" width="484" height="312" /></a></p>
<p>Change the transparency according to your choice.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/h.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4306" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/h.jpg" alt="" width="213" height="65" /></a></p>
<p>Now we need the reflection of sun light on the surface of ocean, use same method as above but change color to yellow orange and resize the oval shape to fit on the ocean.</p>
<p>Again change the transparency according to your choice.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/h.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4306" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/h.jpg" alt="" width="213" height="65" /></a></p>
<p>A picture never becomes beautiful until you have subject on it (A photography principle).</p>
<p>Create a boat and man standing on the boat using pen tool. Color it black as we’ll seethe object shaded when placed just in front of the sun.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/i.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4307" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/i.jpg" alt="" width="451" height="192" /></a></p>
<p>Now we need land, draw the following shape using pen tool.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/j.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4308" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/j.jpg" alt="" width="448" height="104" /></a></p>
<p>Choose Mesh tool and color it similar to the image below.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/k.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4309" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/k.jpg" alt="" width="69" height="70" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/l.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4310" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/l.jpg" alt="" width="403" height="103" /></a></p>
<p>Now we are adding some trees and bushes. Choose symbol in the color palette.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/m.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4311" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/m.jpg" alt="" width="208" height="105" /></a></p>
<p>Drag and drop the trees in to the art board and place it above the land.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/n.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4312" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/n.jpg" alt="" width="241" height="314" /></a></p>
<p>Select the tree using selection tool resize it according to your need. After you are done, expand the symbol.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/o.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4313" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/o.jpg" alt="" width="188" height="268" /></a></p>
<p>Click OK</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/p.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4314" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/p.jpg" alt="" width="330" height="244" /></a></p>
<p>Change the color of the trees to black and apply no stroke.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/q.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4315" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/q.jpg" alt="" width="272" height="248" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/r.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4316" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/r.jpg" alt="" width="252" height="327" /></a></p>
<p>Using Lasso tool select the part of the tree.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/s.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4317" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/s.jpg" alt="" width="265" height="346" /></a></p>
<p>Apply the following gradient to the selection.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/t.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4318" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/t.jpg" alt="" width="209" height="117" /></a></p>
<p>Now create two flying birds using pen tool and place it near the inner edge of the sun.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/u.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4319" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/u.jpg" alt="" width="529" height="174" /></a></p>
<p>We’ll need clouds to make the image beautiful. Create large but long clouds but not much wide fill it black and apply no stroke.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/v.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4320" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/v.jpg" alt="" width="563" height="112" /></a></p>
<p>Apply Gaussian Blur effect.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/w.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4321" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/w.jpg" alt="" width="407" height="401" /></a></p>
<p>Keep value near to 5, I kept 4.4.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/x.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4322" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/x.jpg" alt="" width="252" height="244" /></a></p>
<p>Create other clouds using pen tool and do the same for rest of the clouds.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/y.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4323" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/y.jpg" alt="" width="467" height="145" /></a></p>
<p>The boat will obviously cast the shadow on the water surface. Therefore we’ll need to create a wavy shadow on the ocean surface.</p>
<p>Using pen tool roughly copy the shape of boat and the man.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/z.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4324" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/z.jpg" alt="" width="538" height="146" /></a></p>
<p>Select the boat shadow and choose warp tool.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/za.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4325" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/za.jpg" alt="" width="132" height="62" /></a></p>
<p>Change the brush size according to your ease. To change brush size, Hold down ALT + Left click and drag up/down or left/right.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/zb.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4326" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/zb.jpg" alt="" width="547" height="73" /></a></p>
<p>Now warp the left and right edges of the boat and a man.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/zc.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4327" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/zc.jpg" alt="" width="213" height="118" /></a></p>
<p>Change the color that will be suitable for the image.</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/zd.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4328" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/zd.jpg" alt="" width="522" height="85" /></a></p>
<p>Replay and replace the object, place the objects in front that needs to be in the front and place them behind or overlapped according to their needs.</p>
<p>If you went correct, you’ll get the image some what similar to the image below:</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/ze.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4329" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/ze.jpg" alt="" width="540" height="421" /></a></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s a simple but a nicely designed feature of a graphical interface used in Mac OS X, but inside Windows. If you don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;m talking about, here&#8217;s a preview;</p>
<p><span id="more-1243"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/rocketdock.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1244" title="rocketdock" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/rocketdock-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="120" height="120" /></a></p>
<p>So, to put it simply, Dock is an interactive taskbar, which allows you to put icons, shortcuts and files. They provide a nice clean interface to drop shortcuts on for easy access and organization. With each item completely customizable there is no end to what you can add and launch from the dock. People like using it because of its futuristic design style and also because you can put in it the programs you use on daily bases. Apple first applied this on for Mac in 1999, and people liked it, so all OS-es now use a similar thing</p>
<p>By googling you can find many Dock version, but these are the most popular Docks;</p>
<p><strong>Classic</strong>:</p>
<p><a href="http://rocketdock.com/download" target="_blank">RocketDock</a> &#8211; In-line, simple, nice design -&gt; personal favourite :)</p>
<p><a href="http://www.download.com/ObjectDock/3000-2341_4-10210264.html" target="_blank">ObjectDock</a> &#8211; Also In-line, but not as many options as RocketDock</p>
<p><strong>Circle</strong>:</p>
<p><a href="http://rapidshare.com/files/113011241/Windows_7_Pie_Dock.rar" target="_blank">Pie Dock</a> &#8211;  a dock in a circle, personally prefer in-line, but you know what they say; There’s no disputing about taste</p>
<p><a href="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/piedock.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1250" title="piedock" src="http://hackspc.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/piedock-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="120" height="120" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.ecocardio.com.br/orbit/" target="_blank">Orbit Dock</a></p>
<p>If you&#8217;re using Rocket Dock, you&#8217;ll find out that it has many interesting and fun features, such as a gigantic library of icons for every program possible, so whatever design of the RocketDock you choose(and it has many), you&#8217;ll always find the appropriate icon-design. To add a shortcut to it, just drag and drop it, easy and simple. And also if you&#8217;re running a program, you can minimize it not just to your regular Windows taskbar, but also to your Dock. The best thing is, if you watch a movie, and you minimize it while it&#8217;s still playing, you can continue watching it minimized in the dock.</p>
